How do I get one in GA?
How much is ballpark cost?
And are they worth having?
Have been asked b4 if I would be interested in having one!
Or do you have other ideas?

does a FFL need the drivers license of the seller in order to complete the transfer to the buyer? This is for a handgun sale...

Getting my home-based FFL cost me well over $4,000 and I haven't even bought my inventory yet. That was just setup costs.Don't do it to save a buck on your personal collection. If I had it to do over, I'd have waited until I could afford a store front. For the amount of cash you put out in fees, you want all the traffic you can get.

Evil, I thought you had a storefront for your pool business? A friend of mine has an auto-parts store and he also sells firearms there (obviously, he too is an FFL).

I do have a storefront for the pool/spa store, but my landlord forbid me selling those "evil guns" from HIS property. My lease runs out in 2 years. Needless to say that I will be relocating the business. I've been tinkering with the idea of buying a lot and building my own store for awhile now. Seems to be the way to go, but I hate taking out loans.

BTW, if you're a renter, the BATF calls your landlord and makes them put IN WRITING that they understand that you're selling firearms from the location. I didn't think it'd be a problem, so I told my inspector that "Sure! My landlord doesn't mind!" without actually asking him. So, ATF calls my landlord and explains to him the liabilities involved with allowing me to run the gun shop from the pool store. Not that I would do it where the world could see, mind you. 90% of my customers at the pool store are socialist elitists that believe only the Gubbermint should own guns. But their money spends and I have a strong customer base. If only they knew that the cash they gave me went towards the Grail: the Barrett .50!Now that I think of it, if only they could see under the counter! (I keep my "Fecalator" down there for my girls: a Mossberg 20 gauge with a pistol grip. I feel bad for the first guy that tries to rob us!)Anywho, my landlord sucks, long story short.
