    When I registered there were no guns listed for sale.

    I thought there was something wrong. When I emailed them they told me it as their first day.

    I registered one week before (politically correct) EBAY stopped all firearm sales.

    I didn't start posting for some time. My user # is something like 95.

    He may not be one of the first but saxonpig holds the record for most posts.....you can read between the lines can't you???? LOL

    Like cowboy62 I first found GunBroker just as EBAY was stopping their gun auctions. I never registered because there were few guns for sale. About a year or so later I came back to the site but never registered then either because I had a bad experience from another auction site and I swore to myself I wouldn't buy a gun I couldn't pick up and hold first. After a few people I know got some really good deals from GB I decided maybe I would check it out again and finally registered last December.

    Believe it or not, I lurked for six months, too intimidated to post. You newbies think it's bad now, you never knew METZ. Finally had to jump in when Idaho was getting a bad name by some rot that was being promulgated by a jerk in N Idaho. He and I went several rounds and it really got dirty. Sad to say, I lost my cool and slipped into the ditch with him. Regret that to this day.

    Anyway, I got over my shyness.

    Came here around August 2001 when I got this new computer. Never bothered to follow any other forums as this one is the BEST! You don't have to worry if little eyes are looking over your shoulder or seeing something that would offend Mrs. Gunpaq.

    I've only been around about four months but being laid off I had plenty of time to put my foot in my mouth. Back to work now so its hard to post, guess I'll be a junior till laid off again. Dickskinner helped break me in on my very first post, in the "archery area" under "crossbows" Im still licking my wounds, but still posting!

    Though I was born to royalty, I was snatched at birth, so treat me as the noble I am!!!

    I enjoy hanging out here. I miss old Festus, Tye and Metz...

    My first activity with GB was in July 2000, I starting posting November 2000. I hung out and read the boards 4 months before posting. I am still only a junior member after all this time,I guess I don't have all that much to say.

    I've been here since early/mid 2000.I originally signed in as JOSEY,not Josey1 but there was some kind of glitch in the GB system and Josey got rubbed out, I just disappeared.My original membername had somewhere in the 1,100 total posts range,so that would put me at around 3,700 total since I've been here.But then again 3700 posts and a quarter will get me a phone call and that's about it,

    I read a lot, and books are like cigarettes to me. I've been a member since 10/4/99, and am still just starting!! I lurk and read most every post and add a remark just now and then. I too miss Festus, Tye and the others. We have seen a few leave who added much, a few who have passed on to the happy hunting ground and a few who were poofed to never return. Ah, the history, much like a small town, where you know everyone and their joys and pains are yours as well.
