I was having a discussion on another board about mandatory governement Id's. It seems the majority of people have no problem with it. I asked them what was next imbedded micro chips, and our ssn tatttoo'd on our arms? I brought them back to the days of Nazi Germany, and they saw NO similarities at all between now and then. People scare me. Sometimes I feel like I have been kicked in my gut when I look around me, or try to hold a conversation with people. [xx(]

What a difference a day makes...Diane Feinstein calling for an all out war on terrorism.Hillary Clinton calling for a swift and overwhelming response and for everyone to "stand behind" President Bush. They're starting to sound like Republicans, who'd of ever thunk it?

Dear Mr. Horseman IV......Don't get too teary eyed about Feinstein and Hillary. Chuckie S. said pretty much the same things. They're professionals at saying what they think you want to hear. It's meaningless. They'll be back at their old stand before the dust settles. I'm just anxious to see how they're going to tie all this into their renewed calls for gun control. It should be a hoot seeing how they try to blame guns for something that was accomplished with knives. Trust me,THEY WILL TRY.Mudge

Guess my tongue wasn't far enough in my cheek with the original post...mudge, you're absolutely right! But don't you know? Guns promote the overall "cycle of violence"... That's why they're evil and must all be destroyed. If no one had access to guns, we'd all be mild little sheep and things like this wouldn't happen... yeah right, who do they think they're fooling other than themselves. If you ask me, yesterday is a perfect argument for more guns and in particular, more liberal concealed carry laws. If just one person with a concealed carry had been on each plane yesterday, those "card board cutter" and "knife" weilding "terrorists" wouldn't have stood a chance. What I want to know, is why a plane load of people couldn't overcome 3 to 5 guys armed only with knives. Maybe, that is just what happened on the fourth plane that crashed in Penn., well short of it's intended target in DC. Just maybe the good citizens on that plane figured - if we're gonna die anyway we ought to at least get these suckers and make sure the plane doesn't hit anything vital. I hope it was something like that, which would make those people some of the greatest American heroes of all time!
