Illegal AK-47?

Do you think that anybody (BATF) would care if I put a folding stock on a Hi-Cap, Pistol Grip SAR-1? I know this is illegal, but it seems like such a minor issue in my book.

Also, do you know where I can find a stock that is 2-4" lower than the original?

I dunno. It's too confusing to call just yet.

On one hand, Ashcroft appears to be going after the "individual right to own", but they also gave the BATF a huge pay raise with mucho extra funding as soon as Bush took office...

By the way, some of that funding was used to bankroll their FLIR planes and the BATF fighter jet program...I **** you not.
