I haven't written on this forum for a long time, so if this topic has been addressed, bear with me. I saw an ad in the new American Handgunner that the Walther PPK/s has been redesigned. Anyone here have any detail you can provide me? Any place I can get pictures? The Walther website isn't very helpful, nor is the S&W. The PPK/s is one of my favorite handguns.
Thanks

I found some info on the Walther P99, and Smith and Wesson..could be the PPK/s are manufactured in the US by Smith&Wesson
" Licensed wersion of the P99 is manufactured in the USA by Smith&Wesson under designation of the Smith&Wesson 99. This guns has USA-made slides, the frame and mechanism are Germany-made."

Pick up a copy of Guns&Ammo, August 2002. They have a five page article titled, "From S&W With Love", which should answer all questions.

catchy name for the S&W article, don't you think?
Yes, it was rather catching. It was James Bond that gave the Walther PPK popularity in the USA. Right now I would say S&W needs all the help they can get, possibly the PPK will help their bottom line.

I know you're dying for a picture, why don't you just go to your local gunstore and check one out? Or is it too tempting??? I understand that! If I had $300 just to blow, I'd buy one right now!
Wanna .... never mind...
None of the gunshops around here have the new PPK/s.
Just what makes me your kind of girl?
Know up front, that I only tease............b/c I'm married.
