North Carolina CCW Law?

I talked to a guy from North Carolina today and he told me that even if you have a concealed carry permit you can't carry the pistol loaded. He said that the mag with the bullets has to be separate from the pistol, like in another pocket. Has anyone else heard about this craziness? Or is this guy that I was talking to full of B.S.?

That's what I thought, I did find it kind of hard to believe but you never know these days. I was interviewing him for a job. I have found out that when picking an employee the first thing I look for is bullz**t as a red flag warning. I guess he won't get the job. RugerNiner, that was funny! Thanks to all for your replies.
