    Taught the head of the war dept.(my wife) to combat shoot. As long as I don't come home with lipstick on my collar, I sleep like a baby. Woe to the poor soul that wakes her up in the middle of the nite!!!!

    I have a harem:Closest proximity: Glock 27 with Corbon loads and +1 finger rest extender; several additional pre-ban hi-cap G23 mags with +2 extenders AND the new gripextender collars from A&G that make these long mags mate to a G27 grip as cozy as you please. Nearby: pistol gripped, extended mag Remington 870 SP with #1 loads (lots of .30 caliber pellets!). and some BRI's handy in case I need to poke a hole in something stronger. Thinking of picking up some 000, though. M1 carbine with many mags full of softpoint .30 at 1700fps.Oh yes, and the AKS with a plethora of those long mags of 7.62 stacked and ready to go. Note: While there seems nothing more useless than an unloaded gun, I don't keep any of these with chamber loaded. All are "condition two," in gun mag parlance. And I'm not a "postal" gun nut. I just figure home defense may conceivably require an extended effort -- depending upon whatever unlikely event might precipitate it -- so while one or two mags are plenty for a mugging or carjacking, they might not do for a seige by looters after a tornado (we had one here this summer) ...

    berto64- I have a keltech 9mm- can't hit anything with it over 6 yards with any accuracy- hows yours? 6 yards- 10" group -freehand. My glock 26- at 6 yards- 2.5" groups- freehand. Reloads work the best- can cut 1" off from factory shots!

    Stakeout (Ithaca model 37 with a pistol grip and a twelve inch barrel) Usually have a Colt Officer's 45 in the drawer when I can remember where I put it last... The wife keeps the covers warm. "Trouble" and "Pepper" keep the moon busy all night with their howling.Actually "Trouble" isn't any trouble and Pepper should have been named " Hoover" because she vaccumns food faster than you can dish it out.

    M18 claymore strung around perimeter with razor wire on front porch and on all window frames. Cyanide tipped darts in foyer and 40 pound rabid mongoose roaming the house. This is Detroit ya know Actually, a 4 battery Maglite and my Glock .45 keep me safe. Wife has a Lady S&W .357 for backup.

    Wouldn't mind a good woman to marry, but until then, two cats (Macy and one of her kittens, Haley), a .32 Iver Johnson DA hammerless, and a Sears 16 ga. Double barrel. The guns are loaded. Last night I also had a Dutch Mannlicher Carbine but no ammo.

    Glock 23C and a sure fire light next to me, and a Mossberg 500 (with 18 inch barrel) in the closet. Both are kept loaded with chamber empty.I don't count the large angry dog downstairs, it belongs to the people in the other apartment.
