So the announcers, they suck big time. Watching the Kansas Game. The old announcer(Brent Musburger) must be going Senile or something. Calling plays and what he saw and what happened were two different things.

Even said Klien was the Heisman Trophy winner. His Partner had to call him out on this.

The other two games at times I'm not sure the announcer was watching the same game as I was.

Watched some ranked teams go down and some close scares to unranked, unknown teams. Makes you wonder who decides these rankings. Would like to see the playoffs extended to more teams. The best game.....Temple smacks Penn State.[:0] Two years in a row now[;)] Temple might not be a ranked team or A division 1 team, but they can play some decent football. Oakie

Ohio State stopped Navy from tying the game up as the Middies turned the ball over on a two point conversion effort and a Buckeye ran it back for two points. Ohio State 31, Navy 27.

Georgia and Oklahoma State coming on ABC at 12:30 PST.

Lots of games on today, Alabama and Virginia Tech, and LSU at Washington, for two more.

First there were no bowl games on New Years Day, bummer!!! The TV time just couldn't conflict with the NFL. Then almost all the bowl games today are on ESPN, which basically makes then pay for view since if you aren't willing the pay for cable you can't get them at home, another bummer.

I know it's free market principles at work, business is business, and money in money. Still, I support free markets, even when it means missing some of the best football of the year. No cable at my house, my choice. I just could never understand why I should pay for a TV reception service and still have to watch all the commercials, or more, that came on the broadcast channels. Again free market principles, if people will pay for it, charge it, I just do not understand why people are willing to pay for it and still have all the revenue producing commercials taking up their time. To each their own.

SEC fans have a national college football champion, the rest of the country is yet again shaking their heads at the system.

The BCS will never put a team from a non BCS conference in, what they claim is, the BCS title game. It's that simple and no amount of loud mouthed arrogance can cover it up.

If Texas hadn't botched the play at the end of the 1st half they may have very well won last night. This despite laying down on offense in the first half. Alabama had big first half numbers, but Texas gave the ball up so easy any decent offense could have put up those numbers. With just a little bit of discipline Texas marched right through Alabama and with a little rest between series the Texas defense handled them as well. Then when down and forced to push Texas made mistakes and Alabama scored a couple of give me TDs

Alabama has the excuse they weren't pushing on offense because they had the game in hand and didn't need to take chances. HMMMMMM Then how do they explain the last touch down. The fact is if Saban's team had been good enough he would have gladly put up all the points he could have to silence the critics and give power to the SEC next year. He proved that at the end of the game.

I will give Alabama credit, they beat everyone they played this year, that is all they could do, and they did it. They also beat many good teams along the way. They, like the other undefeated teams certainly deserved to play for a national title.

If the Texas QB had not got hurt they would have destroyed Alabama. Neither Alabama or Texas could have destroyed either TCU or BSU, they may not have even been as good. Would TCU or BSU beat either of these teams, maybe or maybe not, but they were on the same if not a higher level of play and certainly could have.

I didn't see anything on the field last night that BSU or TCU couldn't compete with.

The BCS has produced yet another hollow championship.

After the third week of the season, I realized this was going to be one of those wacky years in college football. It has not disappointed.

The NFL is about the same. The teams I expected to compete are flat, the teams I was going to give another year or two have stepped up.

Even Texas High School football has be great. Looks like the MoJo is back (only Texans understand who that is) and the battles have been top notch.

These are good times for fotball fans,

College football starts for me Thursday night. Going to see my Aggies play Northwestern State. Should be an easy win. Want to see how Jimbo (the $75 million dollar man) has changed things up since replacing Sumlin.

Who else are the college football fans at GB and who is your team?

An elementary teacher starts a new job at a school in Tallahassee and trying
to make a good impression on her first day, explains to her class that
she's an FSU fan. She asks the class to raise their hands if they too
are FSU fans. Everyone in the class raises their hand except one
little girl. The teacher looks a little surprised and says:

"Mary, why didn't you raise your hand?"
Because I'm not a Seminoles fan," she replied.

The teacher asked: "Well, if you're not a Seminoles fan, then who do
    you support?"
"I'm a Gator fan, and proud of it," Mary replied.

The teacher, now becoming interested in the lone dissenter asks, "Mary,
why are you a Gator fan?"

"Because my mom and dad went to UF and my mom is a Gator fan and my
dad is a Gator fan, so I'm a Gator fan too!"

"Well," said the teacher, in an obviously annoyed tone, "that's not
necessarily a reason for you to be a Gator fan. You don't have to be
just like your parents all of the time. What if your mom was a
prostitute and your dad was a drug addict and a car thief, what would you be

    then?"

Mary said, "I'd be a Hurricanes fan."

    Happy football season!

I really do not understand how they pick what game to air.

You would think they would have the number 1 and 2 teams playing on the air. No Not in my area Got Stanford and Oregon State. While I wish Oregon State would win this, it will be a Blow out and Stanford will win.

Wisconsin lost half their coaching staff as 3 of them are going to Pitt. Don't have a quarterback for next year with any experience. Lost all Big Ten center Peter Konz. On the bright side running back Montee Ball will be back for his Senior season.

WV is looking strong for next year. We beat Clemson in the Orange Bowl 70-33 and in the mean time set 9 bowl records. Most of the team will be back next year as we leave the big east and enter into the Big 12.
