NYC cop shoots self

The guy in the office next to mine gets the New York Post and the Daily News every day, so I usually pick them up and flip through them and today I read in one of them an article about a NYC cop that shot himself in the groin while turning his gun over for inspection. Could this be yet another accidental Glock discharge. I think all they use are glocks, right? This is like the third in a row that I've heard of in the last year if it is in fact a Glock again this time. It's making me kind of Glock-shy as far as a future purchase goes. Did anybody hear more on this?

Guns only have two enemies: Rust and Liberals....
cbxjeffIt's too late for me, save yourself.
Why would a cop hand over a loaded weapon to anyone? Especially for an inspection jeeez.
And the winner of the Dumbest Police Officer of the Year is.....

However, in nearly every story I read of an officer shooting himself or another officer accidentally, or otherwise accidentally discharging his pistol, it is a Glock.
Coincidence?

Personally, I desire a "safe" gun, which I don't consider a Glock to be. However, there are folks who wouldn't have anything but a Glock. Glad I don't have to drive a Jeep or carry a Glock......like my Jennings much better and I know my Nash Rambler is better than a Jeep!
