Is this the job for you?

The government is looking for security people to inspect luggage for weapons and other threats and having a hard time filling the jobs. Who better to find hidden weapons than gun enthusiasts. We have more knowledge of firearms, firearm parts and other weapons in general than the average security personel, probably all have envisioned the possible ways of getting a weapon on a plane. If we could keep what we find as a bonus it might be worth looking into. Any takers?

I'll pass. Spent WAY too much time in airports anyway. Digging through people's underwear doesn't appeal to me. Mudge the uncontaminated
I can't come to work today. The voices said, STAY HOME AND CLEAN THE GUNS!

At $30K a year it hardly seems worth the cut. Nice to see we are paying those folks well, after all it's only Federal Security ... and Federal has to be better ... right?Just look at the INS, hell they're Federal and they keep those of the highjackers that were illegals from getting out of the country.Federal is better, yeah ... pull my other leg, it plays Jingle Bells.

wouldn't take the job for $150k period. They couldn't give me enough to move to a city large enough for a real airport. Been there done that. Traffic/Concrete/Office Buildings/People/Kiwke Marts, they all stink to say the least,Just RantingtHe nUt

For $150K I would find a decent place to reside and commute to the city. Problem there is in three years when the Airports go back to private security, which they will, I'd be looking for work again. From where I am now I would commute to either Phila. Int. or BWI for $150K
