Is there a place or forum where I can find shotgun shell collectors. I have no idea of value if any on Remington Express 20 Ga Extra Long Range - 2 3/4 - 1oz - #6 shot - These are in a red and green box with white lettering, shells are green (plastic) 8 boxes of 25 and not all the paper boxes are in great condition. Glad for any help Thank You. dlscas@earthlink.net

Sandman - I've been an active ammo collector for 30 years and although shotshells are outside my normal collecting interest, this one is easy enough to answer. Unless there is something unusual about them, plastic shells of 60s / 70s vintage command no premium in the collector market. And if the boxes are less than pristine, this is even more the case. Like many collectibles, 'old' is relative and even 'very old' doesn't necessarily equate to 'valuable.' In fact with common stuff of this type, it usually equates to 'worth less than this year's production.' Go ahead & shoot 'em up - they are worth more in your shotgun than anywhere else.

Iconoclast - Hey - Thanks for the input, these are my nephews and as I knew not I said I'd get some info from a knowing person, being plastic I had the same feelings. Thanks again for the fast response. The Sandman

I shot up a couple cases of '60 era 20 ga last november, and it still shot fine. Then i found out that people collect old shells. Happy to see that I didn't shoot up a bunch of collectables.
