Happy holidays everyone! Question: As per the news media we now have sniper teams along with our other forces on the ground in the Tora Bora region. Any of you out there in GB land know, or have an idea what the shooter on a sniper team may be using as their primary weapon these days? Wondering if the 7mm REM. is still out there or if we might be using the big dog ..50BMG/both?Don't matter to me what we kill Osama Mama with, dead is dead. Uh..Oh..doesn't sound American, ok then I think we should capture Osama Mama...give him all the rights afforded under our constitution...lawyers (free), fair trial with all the trimmings (maybe a book deal here?)..give him ("him" used loosely, I myself think there is the possb. that Osama may be an ugly bull dyke in drag).BOTTOM LINE: Give him (it) a fair trial....then shoot him. Best Christmas I could have! Happy Holidays Everyone!!
"ANY" EXCUSE IS A GOOD REASON TO BUY "JUST 1 MORE".& VICIE-VERSIE!

Why don't we just give it to him, and tell everyone we couldn't find him, then wipe all all his little chickens**t cronies on the pretense we're still looking for him?

The other night on BBC news there was a bite about the fighting around Tora Bora.A short clip show a gentleman wearing Levis and a brown military type shirt. He was looking thru the scope that was mounted on a 50 cal. sniping rifle.

That country seems tailor made for a scoped .50 BMG rifle. There looks to be lots of high ground with little vegetation to conceal targets. All you'd need is patience and a good range finder.I wouldn't want to go diddy-bopping down those barren trails, even at night, knowing someone with an IR equipped Barrett might be laying up for me.

I got to shoot the SASR (50cal), What a Rush! I got to get one so I can kill rocks at 2000 yds. Seem like a waste of money? I don't think so either. The M-40a2 is due to be replaced soon with the A3, I heard it will be awesome from one of the guys on the project. He said it will be a little heavier though.

How much does the 50BMG kick? I never tried one before.

Since it was the semi-auto, not to bad. I suspect that the muzzle brake had alot to do with it also.

With a good muzzle brake, and weight pushing forty pounds, most of the bolt actions are like shooting a 12 ga magnum.
