Rosie to Campaign for RenoLeft-wing ex-TV talk host Rosie O'Donnell will host a major fund-raiser for former Attorney General Janet Reno in her bid to become Florida's governor next year. Reno herself refused to confirm the O'Donnell event, reportedly slated for Dec. 30, telling the Orlando Sentinel on Friday, "We're working on it. When the time comes, it will be appropriate to comment."But campaign spokeswoman Julie Simon told the paper, "Rosie had offered right after Janet opened her bank account to do anything we wanted. So we asked her to do a fund-raiser right after the Christmas holidays. She agreed to do it at her house, but someone is [staying] at her place."With a home on Miami Beach's Star Island and a gated ring of mansions facing Biscayne Bay, O'Donnell is one of the area's wealthier personalities, even after abandoning "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" last year in the face of sagging ratings.
