K Mart-Ignorance in Retailing!!

How can Wal-Mart be so successful and K Mart so ignorant?Haven't they been around long enough to see what worked at Wal-Mart and what wasn't working for them?Wouldn't Corporate management try to hire personnel from Wal-Mart to show them how to run a business properly?Due to there "Rosie" episode, I and millions of other people stopped shopping at K Mart.It isn't just the gun owners that belong to the "NRA" or post on GunBroker, but millions of gun owners who they irritated and that in turn stopped doing business with them.I myself know of two Pastors, 4 doctors, 1 nurse and numerous other "Professionals" that quit doing business at K Mart because of their stand on firearms.I myself do shop at Wal-Mart, but they scare me, too. Breaking the competition may put them in a position to not be so customer friendly and price competitive.I see empty stores such as: Builders Square, Payless Cashway, Shopco-no longer on the tax rolls and becoming an eyesore in some communities.I don't know the answer, but you would think corporate America would take notice.SUPPORT THE NRA[This message has been edited by Spring Creek (edited 01-15-2002).]
