The 510-series was made from 1939 through 1962. The 510-P is one of the more valuaable of the series, IF it is original. A refinished gun is not in "excellent" condition. A "refinished" gun, especially a cold blue refinish of a very common gun, is worth next to nothing, except as a shooter. By "refinishing" the gun, its little bit of collector value was totally destroyed. It may be worth $50 to someone as a shooter. Parting it out would be the best way to get some value, unless the bolt was also "refinished." The bolt would probably bring $25 to $40 if original. The peep sight might bring $20 or so, if not "refinished."Never, ever "refinish" a gun. It is a common mistake for someone to take a $200 gun in worn condition, spend $100 "refinishing" it, and end up with a $100 gun, unless an ignorant buyer is found who does not know the differenc. Never, ever "refinish" a gun. (There may be some arguable exceptions, but common guns are not among them.)
