Reid against brothels

Now dingy harry wants to shut down all the Legal brothels in the state. He claims it will bring more bussiness' into the state. We are the only state with legalized prostitution. It's legal in any county with less than 400,000 people.
Personally I belive it is the only honest profession, two parties go into an agreement knowing that money is going to change hands, and someone is going to get screwed.[8D]

sounds like a non-issue. If it generates tax income for the state, why should they be against it.

wondering...how much for a "session" with one of the girls?

I guess that would depend on what you want.[:D] I used to work with a guy that went to one of the brothels in town just to drink, they had the cheapest beers in town he said.

hbo did a special about the bunny ranch a few years back. at that time, a 1 on 1 party was 1k/hr with a two "completion" guarantee.

a quick review of their website turns up this:

"There are no set prices. Each girl is an independent contractor and therefore establishes her own services and pricing. Legally, we cannot quote prices, but all the prices are reasonable and negotiable. The ladies work with all budgets. If it weren't affordable we wouldn't have been here for over 50 years."

now, thats the cadillac of brothels. im sure their a hole in the wall with a collection of fat chicks who will do the deed for 200 bucks.

Better idea would be to legalize it in other states.

    It is the oldest profession.
as long as they are in a database, going through health
screening, and pays there taxes, at least they are paying
their taxes, washington is screwing up and does not pay there
taxes. I dont see anything wrong with it, I dont use their
services, but really if its not legal, then they wont get
the taxes. I say let them run there business.. at least
    they have jobs

Not only is it taxed but both the girl & the customer are safe.
In addition there are restrictions in place & testing of the girls that make the risk of disease very low. You also don't have to worry about being arrested.
The sad part is that the girls only get half or less of what they earn.

If those dumb f'n morons would like to make a extra buck or two they would make it legal in all states and tax it. Hell it happens in all the states, might as well tax it.

Zurich has no problem attracting businesses, and has plenty of Brothels.
Basel has many businesses as well, and many brothels as well.

Of course, many of them have their headquarters in the cities, and frequent meetings in the cities.
You know the high level people have a lot of money to spend.... and they are mostly men...
And we all know what most men want...

Sure, there are other things going for Switzerland (the banking policies, low tax rates, etc), but clearly, if brothels have a negative effect, it is not a significant one, and anecdotally, it seems they in fact have a positive effect.

I just figured he was not getting a big enough cut, so he is putting pressure on them.

I actively campaigned against Reid (worked with group, 4X8 sign on property visible from Hiway, hosted opposition in office for radio interview, and more) but there are more septic tank heads in Nevada than patriots. Angle wasn't perfect (who is) but better than Hairless.

Difficult to believe when he's running one in Washington. (Senate)
