I love my Browning Citori with screw-in chokes. If I had it to do over, I would buy another one.

I like those too. Have you herd about the Ruger Red Label?

I've tried a friend's Ruger O/U but like my Browning much better. Browning would be my preference of the two.

The Brownings are really sweet and hardley ever miss. The gun club here has a ton of the and you can try all the used ones and find out wich one you like. Find a skeet/trap club and go give them a try before you buy. Buying one used will save you a ton of money also.

The Ruger Red Label is a very hard gun to beat. I have a 12ga O/A for doves and its fit and finish is tough to beat. Shoots like a dream. Never been a Browning fan but I keep lookin at them just to have in maybe a 410 or 28ga. Unfortunatly ( Kant Spell !) I keep coming back to Ruger. Also looking at Winchester but still keep looking at Ruger

I have Red Labels in both 12 and 28. Love them both. I have had several Citoris and I say that for the money, the Rugers are the best thing going. As a matter of fact, I hope to add a 20 to my group!

Ruger Red Label is a very good gun and well worth their cost. However, you stated "Best Gun for the Money".The Russian Baikal to me, is the Best Gun for the Money. Current dealer pricing is between $305 and $340. Gun has single trigger, ejectors and interchangeable choke tubes. The wood is very nice and if you look around some have super nice looking wood. The gun shoots great and I have a personal experience with numerous ones - All very good. One fine example was a doctor who took his to Argentina and shot his over 6000 rounds without a sinlge flaw. That tells me it can handle whatever I throw at it. BTW - My personal Dove gun is a Baikal 410 O/U.

those are all great guns and come with the price tag to go with it. I have a 20 ga o/u that I got from a pawn shop for 250.00 and it does not miss I do. It is a Italian import called investarm, granted it is noting fancy but if I trip and scratch the forarm or receiver I am not going to cry.Rich

There's only one... Ruger Red Label.American made. American designed. American quality.Write the company a letter after you get to know and love your gun and you'll receive a personal reply thanking you for making Ruger your first choice. (Not a form letter, but a personal thank you.)Try that with a Russian gun or a Citori.
