her hips have been getting bad for over a year, but we just kept chuggin along. She had gotten to where she lived in the gameroom to stay off the laminate floors. Well, Saturday, she just couldn't use the right rear leg/hip. We have been wrapping a towel under her hind end and helping her walk outside for 5 days. Today, we decided that was no life for the "pretty girl"[V][:(] I guess 13yrs is a good run....
Rest in peace Pretty Girl,..see you at rainbow brige.

God bless her. I'm sorry for you loss. She looks exactly like my Milo.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. We had to put down two of our dogs last summer. It is a difficult loss.
bullshot ~ my yellow lab is a "Dudley" too and he is also named Milo!
But 13 years was a good long time!
I've got an identical yellow lab pup laying righ here that my daughter adopted from the shelter.
So sorry for your loss.
Prayers sent all around.
R.I.P.

My doberman at 12 had the same problem and helping him up on the bed or steps was ok for a yr or so but when he could not even stand to poop i knew it was time. God bless all the animals as they take our hearts with them.

May your journey have been swift and painless, Annie. May you be amongst friends and want for nothing, except those you have left behind. May you be patient until such time as they you love so much join you. May you be the first to greet them when they come.
God Bless.
