Can anyone tell me the difference between Hungarian and Russian or Bulgarian 7.62x54r rounds? Should I stay away from any of these?

I BELIEVE...They are basically the same gun, only the WASR's were not designed to accept the double stack magazines. Some distributors have been dremilling(sp?) out the magazine wells to allow the WASR to accept Hi-Caps, but the magazine fits loosely. You can tell a SAR from a WASR by the dimples on the left and right of the Sar's receiver. These were made to stabilize the magazine. I checked Aim Surplus and they are using the same picture for both the SAR and the WASR. It's kind of like buying an Sks modified to take Ak mags. Personally I'd pay the extra bucks for the one the was factory made to take hi-caps, but I haven't heard any complaints... yet.
