Safety Question...

Is there any possibilty of an accidental discharge when using the decocker on a Sig 220? I'd like to keep a round chambered but I'm nervous about droping the the hammer on a live round, and I don't want to store it with the hammer back.
Thanks,

Don't worry about the bullet with your name on it, worry about the fragmentation grenade addressed 'To Occupant'.

Keeping it pointed in a safe direction goes without saying. I was kind of hoping someone could give me an overview of the saftey features and how they work.
