1911. picked it up for a song. The problem is the old boy shot it without the recoil spring plug in (don't know how or why) and launched the spring down range and broke the ejector off. Got the new parts in and drove the roll pin out now the front ejector leg is locked in place and I can't get it out. Don't want to drill it out but I might have too any of you got a suggestion

Have you tried a burst of compressed air?
Edit; tap it with a small punch first and see if the piece pops free before you hit it with air.

Yeah, I know. I took a 1911 apart to check it out before responding. A similar situation I have had is breaking a torx socket off in a bolt. Tap it to remove the binding and either a blast of air to the top dislodges it or a strong magnet. Have you tried holding the frame upside down and tapping it on a wooden block?
