The good old days, before the Gun Control Act of 1968, when you could buy firearms by mail order. The following mail order advertisements are, in order, from the years 1968, 1967, 1966 and 1965.

Remember the good old days.I remember cleaning my 22 with gas taken out of my old Sears Allstate moped and using a brass brazing rod with pieces of cut up T shirt for patches. Then oiling it with 3 in 1 oil.

I was just going thru an old cardboard box of gun books and magazines
from my younger days and found this.... the Badger Shooters Supply catalog from 1966. Folded into one of pages was a order/recite for a
    pistol my brother-in-law got. Smith & Wesson .44 magnum/ blue/ 8 3/8"
barrel....$140.00 paid in full. Shipped right to our old farm house
in up state NY. I"m still crying on the paper.......Bob

    Remember the Good old days.
Gasoline was orange and smelled like gas.
Saturday morning cartoons that were'nt ads for toys
Riding your bike to the city dump to shoot rats with your new 22.
Smoking grapevine or your dads stolen cigars.
A soda fountain in the corner drug store.
The corner drug store wasn't a guy named Tupaca or Miguel
No one had ever heard of Sam Walton or Bill Gates.
Waking up to a test pattern instead of an infomercial.
Getting up the nerve to buy a condom at the drugstore and having it set in your wallet until your mom found it.(6 month later)after you left it in your jeans pocket.
    Pull tabs and church keys
    The cent never spent to fix a _ _ _ _ _
    Can you finish that phraze
