S&W model 28 .357 revolver

Any opinions/reviews on this one? I recently acquired one of these N frames, blued with a 6" barrel. Thanks,G36p.s. As a follow-up question, what does the second digit indicate when referring to S&W revolvers? For example, this one is supposed to be a model 28-2.

    I have a model 27 and it is the finest revolver I've ever owned. Cleanest trigger break that I've ever had the privelege of shooting.

    Ditto on the model 27. I've got a 5" barrel one that shoots to beat the band. Bit heavy for a carry gun though.WOODS

    G36 I have a Model 28, 4" that it one of myfavorites. Ditto's on SaxonPig's remarks - not as "nice" as the Model 27 but a fine piece. I've started liking the 4" barrel since S&W introduced the Mountain Gun line; and the N-Frame wheel guns are my favorites.FatWoodDog

    Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback. Well, sounds like I'll enjoy this one. I really don't care too much about how "nice" it is either. I don't buy guns to collect, I shoot them all. I am most concerned about safety, reliability and accuracy. I am picky about triggers though, but it sounds like this one will be fine.Thanks again!G36

    I have a 27-2 6" that has the best trigger pull I've ever used. If yours is like it you will be well satisified.
