Go the emergency room to collect the next two admissions. On the way there, stick your head into #55 room to make sure the patient with the trach tube hasn't offed herself by holding a pillow over it. Send 53 back to his room.Break up 52A and 61B's love bird mating dance in the day room and send those them to bed- (their own beds, not each others). Start the ton of paperwork for admissions, interrrupting yourself to: let the intern in who has to write the order for the restraint, explain what happened.Send 53 back to his room. Proceed with paparwork, hand out white tic tacs 62B who thinks they need a sleeping pill and don't have an order for one. Try once more to finish the admissions.53 is up again. Do an accu check on 54A who thinks they have low blood sugar and need a candy bar. Explain that 115 is NOT low. Go to the 6th floor to get another set of seizure pads, all yours are being used.Send the admissions to bed, you can fake your way through the rest of the papaerwork. Check 55 again. Feed 59B whos malnourished and usually resides in one of the lousier nursing homes. Go find the other 16 people, hope they are sleeping, it'll make fudging the board easier of they are. RE-direct 53 once again.Attempt to open the board for 11:00 at 2:00- time flies when your having fun. Voice suicidal ideations againt the 2nd shift idiot who can't set a board up right. Be amused by the schizophrenic in 56B. Try to figure out just WHO you are suppossed to have. Self medicate with chocolate and caffine. Listen to 60A claim that he HAS to have a cigarette to cure his panic attack. Duck when he throws the wooden calender off the wall at you. Page security and do another set of leathers. Check 55 again, along with 57 ( the first 5 point). Send 53 back to his room yet again, he keeps wandering, dazed and confused. Lock the door to 53 ( it has its own bathroom). Let the intern in again, share chocolate with her. Finish opening the board, finish the admissions paperwork, start the restrait observation sheet. Document that both 57 and 60A were under continuous observation (don't ask, you don't want to know). Enter the orders for the morning labs, checking on 55, 57, and 60A just for fun. Give 54B orange juice just to shut him up!!!!!!! (Meanwhile the tic tac sleep aid has worked wonders down in 62B). 53 can't get out, but he says he can't sleep because his back hurts. Try the special pain med (green tic tacs, can also be extra strenghth Haldol in a pinch). Finish the labs, the paperwork, set 51 up for a detox admit, go get the detox admit. Do the AM vitals, unlocking 53 before the manager comes in. The raccoons in 56 are going to jail and her neurologist gave her a new brain, guess it must go well with the robotic arms she had last night. See if 57 and 60A can behave themselves yet. Make sure 55 is still breathing. Sign off paperwork, let the geniuses who come up with these regulations figure out how you were in three rooms continuously in the same night.Chart the vitals and accu checks. Somewhere along the way, change a half a dozen beds, give 2 showers. LEAVE before anything else happens. Realize you get paid half od what the nurses get.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM MOM!!! I UNDERSTAND THAT MOST OF THE NURSES AID AND TECHNICIANS EARN THERE MONEY AND PROBABLY MORE,BUT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO THE REST OF IT??? IWAS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR 9 DAYS IN AUG/SEPT AND IT COST OVER $4000.00 PER DAY NOT COUNTING ALL THE BLOOD SUCKING DOCTORS. I HAVE BILLS FROM FOUR DRS THAT I NEVER EVEN HEARD OF. IF THEY WERE ON MY CASE I NEVER SAW THEM OR HEARD OF THEM. I WONDER WHO CALLED THEM IN?? I WAS ASSIGNED A GENERAL PRACTIONER THAT DID ABSOLUTLY NOTHING EXCEPT * ABOUT MY SMOKING AND ORDER A VITAMIN SHOT THAT I DIDNT NEED. O WELL YOU CANT CONTROLL THIS AND I CANT EITHER BUT THE INSURANCE CO. IS SURE GETTING THE SHAFT AS WELL AS ME. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!! CARL
