I'm pretty much out of touch, I guess. They had a special on this group the other night on PBS and I was impressed. The lead guitar player has passed away now from cancer, but here is a link to one of their last concerts that he played. They play bluegrass/rock/pop/combination that is fast and frantic. The gas tank bass player gets some good sound out of that junk yard salvage.
They were a Kansas product.
