I asked this on "Experts" but not getting many replys, so I'm asking here too since not everyone visits Capt. Kirks board!I reload on a Dillon 550, and its been my experiance that ball powder meters consistantly the best, HOWEVERI'm almost out of the Hodgdon BL-C(2) that I've been using for years, and its getting a little pricy ($110 per 8lb keg) ... Can anyone reccomend a ball pouder that is medium fast, clean burning and good for .223, 22-250 and .308 for around $50-$60 a keg?I've seen some (Accurate?) Data Powder 2200 for $47/keg and Data Powder 2230-C for $59/keg ... BL-C(2) isn't the cleanest burning but not bad, I plan to buy 4-6 kegs and don't want to find out it burns dirty & soots up in 10-20 rounds ... help? Also several people have reccomend Varget, and thats good to know, however its about $125 per 8lb keg ... I'm wanting to save some $$$ and get into something around $50-$60 per 8lb keg such as a surplus or less expensive powder!(notice I didn't say cheap!)
