Para-Ordnance .45 pistol

I'm seriously thinking about buying either a P12-45 or P13-45 Para-Ordnance pistol. Any reason to reconsider this? They have a promotion going where you get a free pre-ban high capacity magazine with purchase of either of these handguns.I don't know much about them except for what I've read. They're supposed to be good quality guns.Which would you buy? The 12-45 with 3 inch barrel or the 13-45 with 3 1/2 inch barrel? I want it mainly for a carry piece as an alternative to my Glock 26.Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks boys. I'm leaning toward the P13-45 myself for that very reason. I had to buy magazine extenders for my Glock 26 because the grip was too short. Don't want to do that on one of these sweet-looking Para-Ordnances.

Got one today. Bought the P12-45 in stainless. Fits my hand fine. Haven't fired it yet, hopefully tomorrow. It seems very well made. Here's something that seemed weird. Brand new pistol, made in 2001, came equipped with a 12-round magazine. What's the deal? Do they sell new firearms with high-cap mags as long as the mags were manufactured pre-ban?Also came with a certificate to buy 2 more high-cap mags for 47 bucks each. I also get another 12-round mag free, as a promotional deal.So that's the pistol and four 12-round mags for the price of the pistol ($649) plus $94 bucks. Let the good times roll.

I used to have a P-13. I guess I lean more towards the traditional single-stack so I sold it. One bit of advice. If you get a Para, go ahead and get a Limited model. You get a ton of upgrades at a small fraction of the cost that it would take to have the same thing done after-market to a normal Para-Ordnance P-series pistol. I just don't like the sights on the Limited Para pistols.

Lowrider, the pistol is made in Canada where hi-cap mags are still legal. I guess the Gov't figures that since they've made it almost impossible to own a pistol, the capacity of the mags is a moot point.

Take a look at the Para-Ordnance LDA as well. I love the LDA and you might too.
