That county includes Council Bluffs doesn't it? I'm in Woodbury County. You may ask JudgeColt that question.

Contact your local sheriff's office to obtain carry permit. Not that hard to do.

Bfair's posted web site should get you most of the information. Keep in mind that the Sheriff has the discretion whether to issue or not. The more populated and more liberal the county, the harder it is to obtain. Good luck.

Not to be a smart *, but you will not win any friends in Pottawattamie County if you do not spell it correctly. I know nothing specific about carry permits in Pott County, but most larger counties are tough. Ask the members of the Council Bluffs Rifle and Pistol Club. Some of them should know, and could give you any tips that might help you get a permit. Of course, you should join the Club if you are not already a member.
