A quick question on Star PD buffers

Okay, here it is. In the past it's been recommended that I can use any 1911 Wilson shock buffers to replace the buffer in my Star PD. Obviously, though, if you have one of these you know that the buffer is different on the Star -- it has a narrow collar attached that makes it fit the recoil rod without moving around. The Wilson buffers to fit but more loosely. I have a chance to buy some Star shok-buffs made for the PD. Is it worth it, or do the Wilsons work fine? What should I pay for the PDs if I buy 'em? Need any remarks in a hurry because we're e-mailing as we speak.

I always choose factory-original when possible. If factory-original is not available, then I improvise. Take the Star buffers. With Interarms out of business, I am surprised you are able to find this item at all. Take them!
