bolt action rifle- Sako Tikka- vs- Remington

Just came into a little money, and want to buy a bolt action rifle. I do not have much experience with bolt actions, I only own one, which I use at the range, though not for hunting.
I want to get the gun primarily for hunting.
I have seen a TIKKA Whitetail Hunter that is simular in price to the Remington 700, which is what I was leaning towards. But the Tikka I saw "looked" nice, and was wondering how it stacks up next to the Remington 700.
I am not someone who likes to tinker with my guns, I like something that shoots accurately without much smithing. My hunting rifles are levers and pumps, and am very happy with them-but I just feel like getting a bolt action. Probably wont even use it all too much-my lever and puymps have been more than good for my purposes.
I guess it comes down to "I just want one".

I own both guns in 30.06 caliber. They are both very good quality guns, but I have noticed one big difference to me. I use a lot of different loads for different shooting situations. The Remington may change the loaction of the group when I change loads, but they will still group tightly together. Usually, the group will move up or down by an inch or inch and a half, and to either side by less than an inch. The Tikka on the other hand only likes certain loads. It will group some at less than an inch for 5 shots, but others will move in elevation and windage plus expand out to 4 inch groups in 5 shots. I only use the Tikka for certain situations and using only those loads I've proofed out. The Remington will shoot anything I feed it.
PS, The two best out of the box bolt actions I've ever had were a Howa and a Savage. They are lower price, but dang good shooters.

My Howa .243 with factory loads shot .248" out of the box.
My hunting partner took his Savage 25/06 with factory ammo out of the box .460".You can spend a lot of money getting rifles to shoot like that. With Howa and Savage you don't have to.
Are they still in business?
thanks for all the responses.

Only one of those rifles I've ever owned are my two Remington 700's. My 30-06 has shot everything I've put through it and the groups have always been tight (provided I don't move when I shoot). Both my Remington's are as out of the box except for adding scopes and bipods to them.
I have however heard very good things about the Tikka though. But since I've had such good luck with the Remington's I'll just stick with them. Got too much money invested in both of them now with add ons to change.
