I SEE GUYS WANTING FFL INFO ON LONG GUNS.I THOUGHT YOU COULD SHIP A LONG GUN WITHOUT AN FFL AS THE RECEIVER?ALSO WALMART REQUIRES A BACKGROUND CHECK ON LONG GUNS ,I THOUGHT THAT THE NICS WAS ONLY REQUIRED ON PISTOLS.I GUESS IM ASKING ANY OF YOU IN THE KNOW IF THE FEDS REQUIRE AN NICS CHECK ON LONG GUNS OR IS IT A WAL-MRT POLICY,ALSO IS IT JUST A WAY THAT GUNBROKER TYYS TO COVER THIER BUTT BY REQUIRING SELLERS TO SHIP LONG GUNS TO AN FFL OR IS IT ACTUALLY A FEDERAL REG? THX WALT

For the first year or so it was only handguns. Then on a certain date it applied to all firearms. As far as I know modern firearms must be shipped to a FFL if the transaction is interstate. Transferring to an individual in your home state would depend upon your local laws.WOODS
