I'd say the people at H-S Precision have lost their ever-lovin' minds to solicit or accept an endorsement from this murderer.

Sounds like someone needs an email barrage.

    My email to H-S Precision:

PLEASE tell me the ad I read with an endorsement of your products by FBI murderer Lon Horiuchi is a fake.

If it is not a fake, I and others will stop buying your products, and we will refuse to stock your products in our stores.

Lon Horiuchi is a cold-blooded murderer who should be serving time, not writing testimonials.

Sad, but true. It is an ad on the back cover of their 2008 catalog.

    To whom it may concern,

It has come to my attention that you have chosen to use Lon Horiuchi in one of your ads endorsing HS Precision products.

On August 22, 1992, while serving as a sniper for the FBI, Mr. Horiuchi took the following actions:

    1) Shot a man who was viewing the body of his 14 year old son, who had been shot in the back by Federal agents.
    2) Shot at a 23 year old man while he was running. The shot missed, and
    3) Struck a mother in the head, while she was holding her 10 month old daughter.

You are free to use whomever you choose as a spokeperson to represent your products.

Customers are also free to choose, and abstain from doing business with a company who use the services of a homicidal psychopath in their ads, especially when said psychopath has participated in government sanctioned murder of American citizens.

I will neither purchase/use nor promote the same of your products.

Let's let them know how we feel. Call or send them an email.

    My email to H-S:

    Sirs:

Can you confirm to me whether the endorsement of your product by FBI assassin Lon Horiuchi is genuine? I assume it is yet another internet hoax, but would like to be certain.

    Regards,

    Don McManus

I will post their reply when (if) received.

    Here's my bit:

    PS-2000 HTR advertisement

    To whom it may concern:

I have just been informed that you use as a testimonial the words of one Lon Horiuchi, formerly of the FBI. As you are by now aware of the facts, Mr. Horiuchi was involved inthe infamous Ruby Ridge fiasco, and is responsible for the death of Vicky Weaver, who was behind a door holding her infant child at the time of her death. It is my opinion, and the opinion of others that his actions are nothing short of cold-blooded murder. I think you can see that using such an individual to promote your products to the shooting public is not the best move. Most of us find the idea reprehensible of buying products, even those of high quality, from a company who gets endorsements from an individual who has participated in such abuses against the American people and their rights. I am one of those individuals, and will share this e-mail via the internet to make as many people aware of this issue as I can.

    Sincerely,

    W. Scott Cornwell

Lon Horiuchi - FBI sniper at Ruby Ridge. Aug. 22 1992, Horiuchi fired a shot at a man ducking into the cabin. The shot killed Vicki Weaver as she stood inside the cabin behind the door, holding her infant daughter, Elisheba. The killing occurred on the second day of an 11 day standoff that began with a shoot out that killed the Weavers son Samuel, 14 and U.S. Deputy Marshal Willam Degan. The federal government, though, is leaping to Horiuchi's defense, because he was obeying an order. But the Nuremberg and My Lai prosecutions have established that "I vas just following orders" is no excuse for killing innocent people. The license-to-kill orders were so outrageous that other FBI snipers at the scene -- for example, the SWAT team from Denver -- agreed among themselves that the license-to-kill order should not be obeyed. The Denver agents chose to disobey the unconstitutional order, and instead to stick with the traditional rules of engagement. Besides choosing to obey an illegal assassination order, Horiuchi lied under oath at Randy Weaver's trial. Horiuchi claimed that he opened fire on Randy Weaver and Kevin Harris because the two men were threatening to shoot an FBI helicopter. But the trial judge found this testimony so blatantly false that he ordered the charges related to the testimony to be dismissed. (The helicopter was nowhere near where Weaver or Harris could have shot at it.) [The Ruby Ridge Prosecutions] Yesterday, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that FBI agent Charles Riley said all the way back in June 1993 that he heard shots fired from a sniper post occupied by agent Lon Horiuchi - The FBI's favorite hitman The head of one of the Midwest's largest taxpayer groups today named F.B.I. sniper Lon Horiuchi "Tax Villain of the Month" for crimes against U.S. citizens committed while collecting a salary paid by U.S. taxpayers. - Taxpayers Name F.B.I. Assassin Lon Horiuchi Tax Villain of the Month "put his name and face on every milk cartoon in the state along with his accomplices in the FBI, ATF, and Delta Force. - Wanted: Lon Horiuchi - Killer Horiuchi allegedly shot several Davidians as the attempted to flee their burning church.- Faces of Evil The FBI sniper who killed the wife of Randy Weaver is declared Immune from state prosecution, the federal appeals court ruled Wednesday. This ruling has the same effect as granting a license to kill with impunity to any government agency. In 1992 an FBI employee hired a killer by the name of Lon Horiuchi, who shot Vicki Weaver in the head with his 308 caliber high-powered telescoped equipped sniper rifle from 200 yards, while she held her nursing baby in her arms, killing her instantly.

    Surely this can't be real?

I guess I should get over that thought process at this point.

    I sent the following email.

You guys should immediately contact Bushmaster Arms and tell them about your great new marketing plan. They can then get in touch with John Allen Muhammed, the DC sniper and get him to endorse their products.

Here is a copy of the email I sent-

    Dear H-S Precision,

Please count me among those who hope you discontinue your alliance with former FBI Sniper Lon Horiuchi. I believe it to be counter-productive to your company and to the firearm owning public as well.

I also retired after a career in LE and do not feel that this former FBI sniper is someone to be looked up to. I feel that he made very poor decisions because of the lack of oversight by this and other government agencies.

Just because a government agency "allows" you to do something, does not necessarily make that action reasonable or even "lawful", much less prudent.

Please consider the opinions of those of us who own firearms and cherish our rights to continue to do that.

    Here is mine.
    Dear Sirs,
Is it true that you have an endorsement from Lon Horiuchi in your ads? If it is so, this is a terrible move on your part. As you must know, he is the one who pulled the trigger murdering an innocent woman at Ruby Ridge. Is this the kind of person that you want to use to sell your products? If it is, you can be sure that I will no longer be a customer and I will also spread the word to my friends in the firearms business and hobby. Shame on you!

These emails should also target all firearms manufacturers that use H-S Precision stocks on their rifles, e.g. - Remington. This will be the only way they will finally understand their arrogant endorsement. We must hold them accountable by placing them and others on notice that this will not be tolerated. Who the hell do they think buy their products.

Interesting that the NRA logo is on the same page as this endorsement.

If any of you gets a reply, please post.

A couple people said in earlier posts that this is the back page of their 2008 catalog.
