Glock Experts ????

About 2 months ago I ordered a Gen 4 Glock 22 RTF. It showed up at my PD today box marked RTF2 with no indication of generation. The weird thing is it has the rough texture frame, but the slide has the old style grip seration, not the new style V shaped ones I have seen on all the pics online.

Why would it look like the standard old style Glock for the slide, but the frame is definately new RTF style? Is this a Gen3 glock with RTF frame or what?

I tried to call Glock, but apparently they have closed for the evening.

EDIT: I forgot to add, it does not have a changable backstrap.

    if it doesn't have the changeable grip then its not a gen 4, sounds like you got the original RTF


    as I understand it atleast, I am not an expert, but I am currently staying in a Holiday Inn, not an express, a regualr Holiday Inn[:D]

    saw the Gen 4 on some SHOTSHOW program on the Outdoor channel. It is supposed to have the interchangeable backstrap--I'm with shilo on that.

    So it seems I got a Gen 3 RTF, now I have to decide if I am going to just keep it or send it back for a gen 4......decisions, decisions.

    bhale maybe they made a mistake? If they did maybe they would give you a discount or throw in a free mag or something--or send it back for the right one.

    I think Glock has went back to the old serations, but it should have the new back strap. Send it back.
