Yipeee, Looks like maybe, hopefully K-Mart will bite the dirt. Serves them right. They have been anti-gun for too long. Maybe the boycot helped put them in trouble. Now let`s work on Toys-R-Us, they had a big gun buy back (trade your gun for toys) a few years back. I`ll bet some store owners now have a nice gun collection from that. I see Jeep pulled their anti-hunter ad from the TV ads. Seems like a number of hunter took offence to it and flooded the Co. with complaints. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND JOIN THE NRA.

In our time of glee, lets not forget the people, hard working people some of them, who will or may be out of a job, who have no issue with our guns, life sucks sometimes, and not everyone comes out on top of the crap heap.

The "Big K-Mart" in my town usually has some pretty good deals on rifles and shotguns, as long as you don't want anything exotic or different. If you want a Ruger 10/22, Remington 870, Marlin 60 or 336, guns along those lines, they usually beat Wal-Mart by about $5-$10 per gun. I hate to see 'em leave here. Cheaper on ammo too. Of course, Wally World does match the price if you take time to run to both stores and get proof, but that is all ad "pish-posh" cause they no most people don't. They just ASSUME wally world will be cheaper, so they buy there first. Anyway...like the previous post said, lots of good, decent, hard-working folks going to lose their jobs in the deal. That is not a good thing!

Feel bad for the workers, but I am looking forward to buying some guns and tools during their "going out of business sale."I will be combing all the KMarts in the area when they start the "liquidation" sales.

They only filed a Ch 11. I think they will stay in business. The only ones getting screwed are their creditors.

Before some of you sprain your arm patting yourselves on the back for bringing about the downfall of K-Mart, realize that gun owners had little or no impact on it. Poor management policy is to blame, and as usual the "little" people will suffer for it. Jobs will be lost in a time when we can least afford it. A lot of people are hurting in this economy and losing your income can be very traumatic. The employees of a retail company do not decide what products are sold by that company, yet they will suffer most. When a major retail chain closes it's doors, and lays off it's work force, you can be certain that many of them have small children, who still have to be fed and clothed. Many of you on this board are parents of small children and would find yourselves in a spot if your job was suddenly gone.At least you had them when they were selling firearms and ammo. We here in NJ never did. Now Wally World has finally come to NJ and guess what, NO FIREARMS OR ACCESSORIES will be sold in the NJ stores.Count your blessings..........-Charlie

You won't be so happy when the K-Marts close down & Wally World jumps their prices. Funny, it was just a short time ago that there were several threads on here with everyone picking on Wal-Mart.

I hate to see any business close. Maybe Kmart can get their act together and come out from under this.

Again, I don't think they will be closing down. They only filed Ch 11.
