Celebration Gun

Has anyone ever purchased a firearm to celebrate a significant event in their life? When I finished a very successful deployment to Honduras, I purchased an Ithaca model 37. When I successfully obtained my NY CCW I bought a 1911. When I successfully got the heck out of NY and got my happy rear back to the great midwest I bought a new .270. The following link is reason for my next celebration (my name's on there somewhere): http://www.perscom.army.mil/select/SsgM_Feb02.htm Some people (like me) will find any reason to celebrate when it comes to buying a new gun.

Oh yeah! That's how I justify half of my purchases to my wife! Celebratory gifts to myself! (Hint: If any of you choose to try this at home, make sure you get your wife something too or the plan will backfire). While I still am looking to get a turkey gun with the money I've saved specifically for a firearm, I've been looking at something like Item #2973148 to celebrate a new contract I just got.Whaddya think?G36

Grrr...that was one of my top three choices from which I must now make a decision. Maybe they would do some custom engraving at the Performance Center to commemorate the celebration.
