I had an unknown give away at work today.....

I had a Winchester model 190 .22 sitting in the corner of my office for quite some time. As I was paying bills early this morning, I decided I would just give it to the fifth person who walked through my office door today. Well, a mechanic friend of mine stopped three times to check out the ABS system on my Dodge truck, then a lady came in tring to get me to use uniforms, then finally, the fifth one walked in. He is a steel salesman that calls on me once in a while and we sit and talk about hunting, fishing, and golfing. Well, long story short, he gladly accepted it and even offered to pay me for it. He has a 10 year old grandson that he says he will take shooting this weekend. Sometimes it just feels good to make someones day.

Those model 190's are nice little rifles. That was good of you to give it away.

I thought an unknown giveaway was when someone got something of yours and you didn't know about it.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

It was just sitting in my office collecting dust. Someone would have just stolen it from me if it sat here much longer. My safes are all full at home and this one was definitely NOT a safe queen. The wood and blueing on the barrel were in good shape but the painted receiver looked scratched all to hell. I think I had about $50 in it. Knowing it is going to be put to good use made it all worth it. I would have done a giveaway here but being I'm not a dealer and didn't want to mess with shipping it, I just choose to give it away locally.

Would not the steel salesman be the 3rd person to enter instead of being #5 ? the mechanic entered 3 times, the lady 1 time then the steel salesman. Nice gesture though [;)]

Now you are making a simple giveaway a complicated thing. [:D][:D]
