What order would you put them in? Please consider accuracy first. Also consider look, feel and price
If you had to pick one OOB model from the above makers - knowing it would be the only rifle you could hunt deer with for the rest of your life - what model would it be and what caliber would you choose?

#2 Everything else.[8D]
Right now ... I'm a deep woods hunter in Massachusetts ... so I'm thinking the best out of the box rifle for my situation (ie. no rifles) is a Thompson Center Omega 50 ... mine is in Camo and Stainless ... works great, but it just doesn't look like a gun!.[:p]
CZ in .308 (shot one and liked it)

is your contention that an out of the box tikka will be less accurate on average than a browning or remington? have you ever shot one they are the same bbl and action as the Sako
try:
kimber
sako/tikka (same gun )
savage
remington
cz
steyr
browning
winchester
ruger (hate their triggers and you did say out of the box )

Yes! I've only owned one Tikka in 30.06, and bought it just because I thought it would be as good as the Sako's I have owned. It was a beautiful rifle with great fit and finish, but it only shot one load accuratly (less than a .7 group). Everything else was all over the place with large groups (2 inches or more). I have never owned a rifle that was so picky on what it would shoot.
So, from my experience with Tikka, I rated it just above Ruger which has consistantly been the worst out of the box rifles I've ever had, including three Ruger No. 1's.
If you don't like how I rated them, that's your business. I'm just telling you that that is the order I put them for experience, not opinion. If Mauser would have been listed, it would have been tied with the Browning, and if Howa had been on the list, it would have been tied with Savage for the top position. Remember, the original question was "out of the box", and I've had to work on every Remington and Winchester I've ever own.

The rest dont matter.
