Hey guys, I have a true HK made HK 91 that I have owned for a few years now. I am thinking about selling it, but don't know how to grade the firearm. I am not a collector, I just bought it to shoot. Will a FFL dealer grade it for me, or is it something I can do myself? Please, no e-mails, if I decide to sell---will list on GB. Thanks!

Never seen a HK91 or 93 that was in fair or poor condition. With that said, first thing to do is throw away that "Blue Book" on pricing this gun. Market on HK91 is $1500 to $2200 depending on the condition. Accessories (bi-pod, scope etc.) can add more value but rarely improve the gun's value as to their worth.I have found it best to sell the extras separately. Good luck and I wish I had it.

Some of the prices people are getting for this one are way too high. If you want to make a huge profit, list it high $2000 and sit on it, if you want to sell it in a normal amount of time and still get/give a fair price, the gun is probably worth about $1300-$1600. Let me know by e-mail when you decide, might be willing to buy it or trade a custom rifle if that is of interest.JustinCollis@pobox.com

Latest Update - LOL Finished a show in Alabama this weekend and noticed not 1 single HK91 or 93 below $2100. The market appears higher since several were over $2600. But, on the more realistic side - not any of the guns were sold. Several people told me they didn't want to sell their gun unless it brought a fine premium. Had 1 man offer (2) HK91's in like new condition to me for $4400. Or I could get those two, a pre-banned Colt CAR, a new Colt heavy barrel AR, an AK-47 pre-banned folder and a pre-banned 10/22 with BC folder for $9000. I passed on the KIND offer.[This message has been edited by Trader Dave (edited 11-05-2001).]

Trader Dave, I see the same outrageous prices on the 91's around here. MD. My buddy has one he bought brand new in 1987, I saw the receipt,........$875. You beleive that? Boy what a premium since the panty wastes desided assault rifles were the root of all evil.
