Anyone here used these things before. I have one by Marbles that will let me shoot 32acp's in my Krag. I've never tried it out. I'm considering looking for one that will let me shoot 30 carbine ammo in that Krag. Experiences good and bad will be appreciated.WOODS

I've never used them, but know two others who have used this type. Safe enough if in good condition and the shooter is uses the proper submunition. Various military organizations have used a variety of subcaliber chamber inserts over the years for less expensive training work. If in mint condition (and often they are), it is worth more as a collectible than you will likely save on ammo unless you plan to use it a *lot!* I doubt you will find one to shoot .30 Carb in the .30 US unless it's some sort of obscure manufacture. The subcaliber fad was largely very late 1800s up to the outbreak of WW2 and as I'm sure you know, the .30 Carbine was developed as part of the war effort.
