I am hearing rumors that CZ will be making a rifle (452 Model I think) in 2010 that will be chambered for the Remington 5MM Magnum. Anyone else hearing any rumors? I would sure like to get one of the first ones![:p]

I've read a couple of articles that said CZ and others will be doing this as Aguila is resurecting the ammo.

What is the ballistics as compared to a 17HMR? Is there any advantage to the 5MM? I have seen the ammo for sale, over $20 per box.

The new 5MM ammo, if I recall, is at 2300 fps muzzle velocity. The old was ~2150. The 5MM retains (and has) more energy at all distances than the .17. The new bullet is 30 grains the old 38. I have a couple of the .17HMR's (Ruger, Marlin & Savage) and my old Remingtons outshoot them. The trigger on the old $65 Remingtons is EXCELLENT. I would like to get that CZ if and when it comes out....
