I one a 550 magnum in 416 Rigby and it is a well fitted and comfortable to shoot, even with the "hogback" stock. Good trigger out of the box, with clear instructions on how to adjust it, if it dosn't please. Custumer service from CZ-USA is prompt and friendly.

The sights are your basic shallow V fixed 100 and foldups for 2 & 300, however I've put a scope on mine (CZ mounts). Off hand recoil is not bad (firm roll back), but hunched over a bench will get your attention (to be expected when launching a 400gr bullet at a chroned 2400fps). The recoil is mainly into the shoulder with no face slapping, to be honest my scoped Encore 209-50 loaded with 240gr sabot and 150gr pellet is more painful than the Rigby (sharp face slap).
The plinking load I use in the Rigby is 98gr of RL-22 behind a 400gr Hornaday RN (2420fps avg), which is pleasent to shoot. At 100gr it starts to get a little sharp, both in muzzle blast and recoil (no chrono data for this load, guessing 2475) as it changes from a booooom to a crack and the recoil goes from a push to a jab in the shoulder.

I have the PCR on my "to get eventially" list.

I know I won't be "ordering" it though--I'll have to see it before I buy it; too many people (including a lot of the auctions on GB) list the ordinary compact 75 as the "PCR". There are differences between the compact and real PCR.

I handled the PCR (compared to the compact 75) a couple a years back--the PCR had that "perfect fit feel" in my hand, which is why it's on my "to get" list...

The CZ is a well made handgun design which was getting lots of positive press when I first got into reading gun reviews back around 1985.

The closest comparison I can think of is that the full sized CZ handgun is sort of like a Hi-Power, except that the slide on a CZ rides on slide rails INSIDE the frame instead of outside or atop the frame. Hence, the frame of a CZ sort of seems to "envelop" the slide, if you look closely.

These were well made, accurate, reliable guns when I started looking at them, and I assume they are a good value now because they are not premium-priced. I would be very happy to own one.

I bought each of my sons the 22LR CZ. They are shooting milk jug caps at 100 yards without much problem. They have been shoothing these rifles for about 2 years now. The workmanship is good and I would buy another one.
