I had my mind made up to get a mod 70 coyote in the 270 wsm for my next rifle purchase ......now i am having second thoughts on getting it in a 7mm wsm.
What I think I would like is the wsm with a .257 bullet in it.
any thoughts

Well, they ain't making the WSM in .257 yet, although that would be a good addition to that line-up; maybe it'll come some time down the road, but the odds are that a .338WSM will be the next to appear.

As far as I know, the WSM only comes in .270, 7mm, and .300, so far.

yes i realize that the wsm's only come in 270 7mm and 300
i just think that a 257 bullet in the wsm cartridge would be a good cartridge for long range pairie dog medicine :-)

Well, heck, it should even make for a pretty darn good medium range deer round, too.

Never had a .257 Roberts, but I understand that it was, and still is, a fine cartridge, stands to reason that a .257WSM would be a good round, too.
