just for lefties information. I recently asked Remington a question about whether they were going to offer the new "Short Ultra" rounds in a factory left handed rifle. Below is their response that we lefties need to address. They have my answer "BUILD THEM"thanks in advance You can reply to Remington at info@remington.com
my questions,Now that Remington is coming out with more cartridges that sure lookpromising are you going to continue to ignore the large left handedpopulation of hunters that would like to be able to buy one of thesecaliber's over the counter? I would have loved to get a 7mm08 long agobut you have not offered it in a left handed version that I am awareof. Are going to do the same with the 2 short Ultra rounds? And whatabout a Cantelever scope barrel for our shotguns? I am currentlyshopping for my sons friend and he is also left handed. It looks like Iwill get him a Mossberg Trophy combo gun since Remington has nocomparable offering. At 11/12/2001 08:58 AM Remington wrote - We have received several suggestions similar to yours and appreciate you taking the timeto write in. Where do I send my comments to them? I'll always advocate for left handed rifles being a leftie myself.

Remington has the most comprehensive line of left-handed product on the market. We are just now getting the first Model Seven's in .300 UltraMag Short. I dont believe we are going to see a LH Model 7 anytime soon, but we may see this caliber in a short-action BDL variation pretty quickly.

I have already sent Remington a letter regarding this matter.I would just like a .22 bolt action left hand. Nothing bizarre, just a nice .22. They told me to buy the 572 pump. I e-mailed them again, told them I already have a 572, and asked why they could not come up with a safety suitable for a lefty shooter, like the safety that is offered for the 7600 and 760 pumps. No response. No more remington.

Are we talking about the Ultra mag rounds? If so, they do make a left handed model 700 LSS in .300 ultra mag. Or I got a counterfit one.
