Too Real

Yesterday I was taking a walk through the Daniel Boone Homestead in Berks County, PA, and thought I saw an Indian brave in war paint behind a tree in a wooded section where I was walking. Rounding a bend in the trail I came face to face with three of the most scariest looking devils of the forest that one could imagine all decked out in war paint, tomahawks and longrifles. This experience was a little too real and I had to almost pinch myself to be certain I wasn't having some type of morphine flashback. These re-enactors really are into their craft, I mean all the way. There is a French & Indian War encampment being held this weekend at the Daniel Boone Homestead just of Rt. 422 in Berks County, PA. This is quite a sight to see with several hundred re-enactors (French, Indian & British) all encamped and going about their activities on the 500 acre facility. Many French Canadians there, also.

Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.
