Josey1 origionally posted a thread by Airline Captain Duane Shaw concerning arming airline crews titled "Closing the Cockpit Loophole". I e-mailed Captain Shaw (DuaneShaw@compuserve.com) and he replied with the name and fax number of Rep. John Mica(R)FL., chairman for the House Aviation Sub Committee and urged me to fax him a letter in support of an armed flight deck. At the risk of stealing his thunder or "stepping on his toes" (I don't think Capt. Shaw will mind), the fax number is: (202) 226-0821. Hope I haven't broken any rules, but I think this one is important.

    I will be the first one to donate any one of my pistols to a captain of an airline to use for security measures free of charge.
