smart phone ???

Since I'm a geezer in training my eye sight has taken a turn I ended up getting my first smart phone so that I can turn the font up large enough to read it. I've had the phone since x-mas, and since the weather has turned cold I've been wearing gloves once in awhile. Why is it that when you're wearing gloves you can't swipe the phone to answer it when it rings??

I don't know why but I'll never own a smart phone.

You probably need Touchscreen gloves that have conductive material that will interact with the Touchscreen.

Touchscreens operate by sensing changes in capacitance. Gloves can be an insulator that does not register the capacitance change. Thus, you need conductive gloves. They are marketed practically everywhere.

may be a smart phone but it isn't smart enuff to know it's you under gloves...or u haven't really bonded with it yet...OR ...did u get the secret code with purchase...security is #! u kno..OR a pencil won't write when you rub it across paper till u put the pointy end down....OR..the body is a conductor and a finger distorts the screen field whereas the glove is a non conductor unless u get the wife to really give u a charge

Try using the bare tip of your nose when you are wearing nonconductint gloves. Might work.

What is the brand and type of phone do you have Android or I-phone?

I have carried a "throw away" Tracfone for years to use while hunting, trail riding etc that would be no big deal if it got lost.

When Tracfone sent me a new Android phone I found that it has an auto answer setting.. Just say something and answer the call. Then when you are finished and the other party hangs up it disconnects automatically.

I have come to like the feature after using it a few times.

C,mon Steve read my original post dude.....My peeps suck at trying to see anything closer than about 3 feet. Given my nose is probably larger than normal, but it's less than that. So using my snout would be futile....[;)] Thanks for the suggestion though...

It's a smart phone. When you have your gloves on it cannot read your IQ or senses a low IQ.

Try using your tongue on the screen when the weather is cold.

I've noticed that people that drive smart cars appear to be dumb *.

The more people I meet the more I like my dog.

OK, use your nose AND your reading glasses!
I do feel your pain. My eyes were great right up until I hit 50. Now I need readers for anything closer than about 2 feet. Still 20/15 beyond that though.

yes use your nose to swipe it open
Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.

My wife has a smart phone and I swear that thing is possessed. Every time I try to talk on it I hang up on the caller or some other weird thing happens. I'll stick with my Motorola Quantico flip phone.

    If it rings:

    a) gloves off....answer it
    b) gloves on ... answer it
    c) too late .... press re-dial
