Out of curiosity, whats your experiences with Taurus guns, Particularly with the PT100 in .40? I had a 92f in 9mm a long time ago and never had a problem but then I didnt own it for very long.

I'm looking into getting a .44 magnum Taurus Ultralite (the black titanium one) 44multi Is the company name I believe. Anyone have one of these or know if they are any good? I personally have never shot a taurus but I like the way they look and feel... any ideas?

I posted in the want ads a while back for some Taurus parts. Someone suggested that I contact Taurus itself, since Numrich didn't carry the part I needed. I faxed a letter to Taurus, and several weeks later, here come the parts, free of charge. I have heard people complaining that Taurus is hard to get hold of, so I thought I would share my experiences, and the address and phone numbers sent along with the parts. Dan

Carried one everyday for about 4yrs. Put approx. 500rds. through it with no problems. Still seems as tight as when it was new. Only shot maybe 10-20rds of +P through it, the rest were standard .38. Started carrying a KelTec P-11 a year or so ago and passed the Model 85 UL down to my mother. She likes it and shoots it well. My wife also likes it and has been after me to get her one. For the price I think they are a good pistol, I'd carry it again.

Ive really been impressed with Taurus's Quality for the last several yrs. They build strong reliable and accurate firearms for a reasonable price. As for their warranty and customer service their great to deal with. I have a PT92 AFS 9MM that Ive shot over 1,000 Rds + through with no sign of wear. Plus their sales have incresed steadily over the yrs. Safe Shooting!!

I just can't let go of my bad experience with the PT-22. I know rimfire pistols can be questionable, but the quality is just inferior on this Taurus product.

For a company that makes its money on knock-offs of Beretta, S&W, Colt, I will pay the extra few hundred dollars for reliability and peace of mind.

Had an 85 SS. Shot a rattler and the gun jammed. Broke part of the star wheel off and locked up the gun. Got bit in the boot for my trouble. Had a PT101 always jammed returned came back still jammed. Had a PT109 5 shots front sight fell off. Fixed that and 6 more shots the rear sight fell off. Returned came back 3 shots rear sight fell off again. I WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER TAURUS AGAIN. Especially if I am going to trust my life with it. Many people love them, I say great for them but not for me or mine.[xx(][xx(][xx(]

We have a SS .38, I do not remeber the model number, but it is strong, tight and reliable. As accurate as most anything with a 2" barrel, certainly better than my old M&P Smith.
