First the power went off at tbe house. Hotter than hell worried about our older dogs in the extreme heat. But as I was leaving for work it came back on. Hazzah! Stop at Walmart on my to the campus and when I came out my engine went bad. Same problem I've been having for 2 years. Engine light, poor running, low power. Been in shop many times and they can't fix it. Barely coaxed it home (like running on one cylinder).

Still need to go to work. Start motorcycle. Get to freeway and front tire goes flat. Call AAA and they tell me MC towing not included. Used to be. We're "Gold Members." Decide to start engine and ride very slowly down shoulder back to house. Starter won't work. Battery too low. Use kick starter and it actually fired up. Got about 200 yards and engine dies for good. Electronic ignition needs some juice to run and battery gone.

Truck showed up after sitting in heat for an hour. Good news is he can get it up the steep driveway into the garage. Bill was only $75 and I expected twice that much.

Put charger on battery. Call boss to tell him I have to cancel my classes today. Two hours later I try to fill tire with air. Nope. Tube must be bad. Try starting engine. Nope. Got stupid and put big charger on MC battery. Engine started up in 1 second and in two seconds the electrical system overloaded and blew up. Don't know what actually fried. Lights still come on so battery isn't creamed but there was smoke and fire so maybe some wires toasted.

So now I need to have it trucked to repair shop and fixed.whatever it is wrong with it. Also need to take truck to dealership and see it they can figure it out. The independent shops can't so far.

What a great day.
