..Did Peter do something bad? He has a lock and last posted
in 2013. I can't imagine him raising a problem, but maybe I
missed something. After all, I come and go at will. He had
a lot to offer the forums and I enjoyed his posts.

..Yeah Jeff, I really enjoyed the pics of his guns, suppressors
and the landscape in Greenland. He had interesting work too.
I think it had something to do with geo-thermal energy.

He was dishing out some grief, ticked off the Captian who noticed he did not have an active auction account and locked him out.

He was an interesting guy, he was, I believe, an Eskimo.
Very interesting to get posts from a guy who lives up in the land of ice and snow.
I enjoyed his posts and I miss him.

I have really enjoyed our foreign members, we had a guy from England named mond who used to post quite a bit, haven't heard from him in a while.

..Yep, I don't know what happened to mond either. He had that weird British sense of humor and talked of roundabouts, windscreens, bonnets and boots. Our foreign members are always interesting. Thankfully, we still have Jorge. I wonder if Peter has any desire to come back, but that's his business.

    That'd be Dan Kelly.

Peter was an interesting fellow. An engineer by trade, very intelligent and well-spoken. I don't know anything about the secret-agent stuff. Maybe, in his very dry and witty Danish humor, he was stirring the pot over here.

He came over to the states for a visit and was at the first or second Appliance Shoot, held at TOOLS1's place. Visited and stayed with different folks for several weeks. He stayed with us for a week and we had a good time.

I never got the impression he was liberal at all. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Dude had some serious shooting and survival skills.

It was my pleasure to have him stay with us and learn a little about him, his language and culture and knowing that a foreigner has very much in common with us.

Plus, he brought some very good Danish beer. I think it was Tuborg and/or Carlsberg? Maybe some others.

Peter had a ATF jacket and him and tools played on Selects nerves after they were shooting some tannerite. It played out well, to hear Peter tell it! Don

He came by my place in Columbia. Stayed a few hours then I commented on his rental car.It wasn't from where he landed in Columbia,SC. He was headed to tools place. One little bag for clothes and nothing else in the car. Ask me some weird questions when we were headed up 1-26 in my truck about explosives. I don't play with explosives. Almost stopped the truck to let him out. He also mentioned a metric measurement in my home and the wife told me his answer was incorrect. She teaches metrics in grade school.

Happy Nanok is a Dane, lived at the time he posted here in Iceland. Hardly a fed, he was a maintenance engineer at a major hospital. His degree has no real equivalent here. A shooter and hunter.

..Danish, yes, but he did work in Greenland, didn't he? My faulty
memory thought he was involved in geothermal energy in some way. Could be he just spoke about it.

Name I haven't heard in ages.

For those of us who have been on here for years, there's a lot of guys who have disappeared, either going on to other things, passing on, getting locked, and so on.

Good test as to whether you've been here awhile is whether you remember the Sugarbear thread... I'm sure some mod will re-open it for kicks some day for a few days, then lock it up again.

As with many of these, all he had to do was open a support issue on the Auction side and ask for his account to be reactivated. He chose not to.

The sugarbear thread is only a couple years old, you need to go back to the smoking jacket days.
