Last time out to the range I took a 44 Magnum revolver and 41 Magnum ammo. Today I intended to shoot my 22 Combat Masterpiece and discovered I had brought the 38 instead.

Geez...

That is one the advantages of being able to shoot in my back yard, the ammo is always within easy reach.............but that is a drawback as well[;)]

    Doc, I have a suggestion.
Personally, I have a somewhat large and diverse collection of (mostly) WWII military firearms. I hang a tag on every one of them with pertinent information like make, model, caliber, and how I acquired it. It makes it a WHOLE lot easier to grab the right box of ammo when heading out to the range. Yeah, it takes a bit of work, but I've never brought or loaded the wrong ammo.

I can too, but the neighbors in the white house behind me are starting to get a little concerned:

Doc, the basic problem is that you have far too many guns, I would like to help you with this terrible problem, all you have to do is send all but one to me and you will no longer have that issue ever again

Well, that is one way to hoard ammo. If you are not going to use that .22 you might as well sell it for $75 a brick.
